Minimum Wage in Norway

Norway has no general statutory minimum wage. In some sectors the minimum pay in a collective agreement is made binding for everyone.

Extended minimum rates apply in construction, cleaning, hotels and restaurants, agriculture, fish processing, shipbuilding, electrical work, road freight and passenger transport by bus.

Next change

No general minimum is planned. Extended rates change when the sector agreements do.
