About the Money Receipt Maker

The money receipt maker writes a payment receipt in the classic format: received with thanks from, the sum in words, how it was paid, what it was for and the balance still due. Add your signature and company seal, and print the customer copy and office copy on one sheet.

How to use it

  1. 1 Fill in your business and who paid you.
  2. 2 Enter the amount, how it was paid (cash, cheque, bank, bKash, UPI…) and what it was for.
  3. 3 For a part payment, add the bill total, then press Download PDF / Print.

Frequently asked questions

What should a money receipt include?

A receipt number and date, your business details, who paid, the amount in figures and in words, how it was paid (with the cheque number or transaction ID), what the payment was for, and a signature. For part payments, show the bill total and the balance still due.

Why write the amount in words?

Words are harder to alter than figures, so the amount in words settles any doubt, as on a cheque. The tool writes it for you in the million or the lakh and crore system.

Can I record a cheque or mobile wallet payment?

Yes. Choose Cheque to add the cheque number, date and bank, or Mobile wallet for bKash, Nagad, UPI, M-Pesa and others with the transaction ID. Many businesses add “cheque payments are subject to realisation” as a note.

How do I print an office copy?

Leave Printing on Customer + office copy. Both receipts print on one A4 or Letter sheet with a dashed line to cut along, each labelled.

Can I make a receipt from an invoice?

Yes. In the Invoice Generator press Make receipt, and the client, amount, bill total and invoice number are filled in here.

Is my data saved?
