It also combines semesters into a CGPA, shows the GPA you need for a target, and converts CGPA to percentage.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my GPA?
Multiply each course’s grade point by its credits, add those up, and divide by the total credits. An A (4.0) in a 3-credit course and a B (3.0) in a 4-credit course give (12 + 12) ÷ 7 = 3.43.
How is SSC and HSC GPA calculated with the 4th subject?
Add the grade points of your compulsory subjects. From the 4th subject, add only the points above 2: an A+ (5) adds 3, an A- (3.5) adds 1.5, and a C or lower adds nothing. Divide by the number of compulsory subjects. The GPA cannot go above 5.00, and an F in any compulsory subject means a fail.
What is the difference between GPA and CGPA?
GPA (or SGPA) is the average for one semester or exam. CGPA is the cumulative average over all semesters so far, weighted by credits, so a semester with more credits counts for more.
What is a weighted GPA?
A weighted GPA gives extra points for harder classes, usually 0.5 for honors and 1.0 for AP or IB, so an A in an AP class counts as 5.0 instead of 4.0. An unweighted GPA treats every class the same on the 4.0 scale. Colleges often look at both.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
It depends on who awarded it. CBSE uses CGPA × 9.5. Many Indian universities use CGPA × 10 or (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. For a 4.0 GPA there is no official formula; GPA ÷ 4 × 100 is only a rough guide. Use the formula your board or university publishes.
What is the UGC grading system in Bangladesh?
The University Grants Commission’s uniform grading system gives A+ (4.00) for 80% and above, A (3.75) for 75–79%, A- (3.50) for 70–74%, and so on down to D (2.00) for 40–44%. Below 40% is F. Most public and private universities use it.
